About Dolk
Dolk is the pseudonym of Andreas Hamran Færø, born in Bergen, Norway in 1979. He studied graphic design in Melbourne before picking up stencils in 2003, inspired by Banksy. His black and white works blend pop culture references with dark humour and social commentary, and his stencils can be found on walls in Bergen, Berlin, London, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Lisbon and cities worldwide.
In 2008 Dolk and fellow artist Pøbel created Ghetto Spedalsk, painting stencils on 20 abandoned houses across the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway. The project brought international attention and helped establish him as one of the most important street artists working in Scandinavia. His prints and editions are increasingly sought after by collectors.
Dolk works appear at The Studio Gallery from time to time. Contact us to ask about current availability or to register your interest at our gallery in Henley-on-Thames.
