Working with memorabilia worthy of & wanted by The Imperial War Museum, this particular montage of valuable pieces required incredible care & conservation...

Collaborating with the client, framer & director, we devloped the layout as seen... (key [436918] doesn't existclick here for more detail.)

The maps you see are printed on incredibly thin tissue paper. These were hidden within old LP records which were broken open to reveal these maps & used by POW's during WWII & to escape & find a way out.

The deck of cards... each card was double layered, peeling apart to reveal a map, a code & a key to escape. The deck of cards altogether created an incredible map of europe.

The pin was a compass, hidden within the lapel on a jacket of an officer.

The text was provided by the Client & was Giclee printed in-house, onto Fine Art Paper & incorporated within the layout.

It was then glazed with Conservation Grade Glass & throughout was framed using conservation acid free materials.
