'Rachel Ducker Landmark Installation'
Henley-on-Thames ~ April 2015
A life size sculpture by Rachel Ducker has been installed at a landmark roundabout at the entrance to Henley-on-Thames.
Landscape designer Paul Terroni won a competition run by Henley in Bloom to redesign the roundabout, which is sponsored by the Henley Standard. The idea is to show Henley as a “gateway to a healthy lifestyle” and create a vibrant welcome to the town.
The roundabout design features Rachel’s sculpture, depicting a woman leaping out of water, surrounded by flower beds of Olympic-style interlocking rings planted in bright colours.
Henley town councillor Elizabeth Hodgkin said "The roundabout has exceeded my expectations and Rachel is a genius in how she makes the movement feel real."
If you would like to see work by Rachel Ducker, come by & visit the Gallery where we always exhibit Rachel's stunning works, in all sizes.
