Sealing...

  • The Canvas then has the water-resistant seal applied and is vacuum heated to a temperature of 97°.
  • The Canvas is now protected without detracting from the natural texture and finish of the Canvas.
  • A matt seal is also used – so that the seal is as invisible as can be, keeping focus upon the image and artwork itself. It also minimises any reflection glare issues.
  • By using the Vacuum Sealing Process, as opposed to a hand-rolled seal, it draws the seal right into the very pits of the canvas material itself ~ thus no air or moisture is trapped underneath and none can get into it and potentially affect the inks. Thus we are preventing any risk of fading due to its natural exposure to the elements or ultra-violet and offer a life-time guarantee.
  • A double heat seal is also available and recommended if the picture is going to be placed in a damp environment – e.g. a bathroom or outside. (There is an additional 10% charge for a double seal.)
